With over 350 pieces (garments, accessories, photographs, graphic art, samples, tools, etc.), the exhibition features creations from haute couture houses as well as pieces by young designers, some of which have been made especially for the exhibition.
The Palais Galliera is also paying tribute to the people behind these skills, who are often forgotten or lesser known by the prestigious name of a couturier. Whether they are traditional Maisons such as Lesage or Hurel, or newer, contemporary players like Baqué Molinié or Aurélia Leblanc, the exhibition reviews these often unsung craftspeople of fashion: the textile designers, embroiderers, feather workers, and floral makers, who have made Paris the cosmopolitan capital and prime location for their exceptional skills, which they maintain in a constant state of innovation and renewal.

Curated by Suzanne Pagé, Dieter Buchhart and Anna Karina Hofbauer, Calder. Rêver en équilibre at the Fondation Louis Vuitton brings together nearly 300 works by the American sculptor Alexander Calder that span half a century of creation - from the late 1920s and the first staging of the artist's Cirque Calder performances that captivated the Parisian avant-garde, to the monumental sculptures that redefined public art in the 1960s and 1970s.
Set within the striking architectural spaces of Frank Gehry’s Fondation, the exhibition emphasises Calder’s pioneering integration of movement, balance, and spatial dynamics, celebrating his enduring impact on the language of modern sculpture.

Featuring over one hundred exceptional outfits and accessories, the exhibition showcases the royal wardrobe, highlighting the eight styles of traditional Thai costumes designed by Her Majesty Queen Sirikit in collaboration with a team of local Thai historians and designers. Furthermore, the exhibition illuminates the unique history of cultural and artistic dialogue, marked by over thirty years of collaboration between Her Majesty Queen Sirikit and fashion designer Pierre Balmain, and later continued with the Balmain and Lesage fashion houses.
Curated by Béatrice Quette and organized in collaboration with the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles and the Sustainable and Craft Institute of Thailand, the exhibition aligns with two key diplomatic anniversaries: the 340th year since the first France–Siam contact in 2025 and the 170th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2026.
